Tamil Nadu government departments, PSUs, local bodies and universities tender works, goods and services on this NIC GePNIC-based portal maintained with the state Finance and IT departments.
How to register
- 1On tntenders.gov.in click Online Bidder Enrollment and fill company and contact-person details (MSEs tick Preferential Bidder).
- 2Verify the email and mobile codes and set a password; the login ID is emailed.
- 3Log in and map your Class 3 signing DSC under Signing Certificate; a mapped DSC cannot be moved to another account.
- 4Upload reusable documents under My Documents (PDF/XLS/RAR/DWF, 75-100 dpi scans).
- 5Download the tender schedule free, check corrigenda, fill the BOQ and freeze the bid before the server-clock deadline.
Things that catch bidders out
- Bids must be frozen before the server-clock deadline; unfrozen bids are treated as invalid, and withdrawing a bid bars re-participation in that tender.
- The DSC cannot be remapped once mapped to an account; register it a day ahead of your first bid.
- Only PDF, XLS, RAR, DWF (and JPG) files with no special characters in names; scan at 75-100 dpi and do not alter the BOQ template.
- The portal also runs Tender cum Auction events and uses classifications such as Fixed Rate Contract, Supply, Works and Buy when searching.
- Offline EMD originals must reach the Tender Inviting Authority before closing and match the uploaded scans.
